In recent decades, private higher educational institutions (HEIS) have played a vital role in expanding access to higher education and diversifying the academic landscape. This study explores the management methodologies employed by private HEIS, focusing on organisational structure, strategic planning, financial sustainability, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement. The research draws on case studies and comparative analysis from various countries, including Uzbekistan, to highlight best practices and challenges. The paper identifies key issues that hinder the effective management of private HEIS, such as limited regulatory frameworks, inconsistent quality standards, and financial dependence on tuition fees. Recommendations for improvement include the development of more robust governance models, enhanced public-private partnerships, increased autonomy coupled with accountability measures, and investment in faculty development. The study concludes that strengthening management practices is essential for the long term sustainability and competitiveness of private higher education institutions in a rapidly evolving global education environment.
