Abstract

The article examines current issues related to the liberalization of Uzbekistan's foreign economic activity against the backdrop of global transformations in international trade. It analyzes statistical data on Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover for 2025, highlights the key steps taken by the government toward accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), and outlines the challenges associated with changes in the global trade environment. The article substantiates the need for a strategic approach to developing foreign economic policy amid rising protectionist trends and geo-economic risks. It concludes that the consistent implementation of reforms and integration into the global trading system are crucial factors for ensuring sustainable economic growth and enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy.
